The Beer

An easily accessable, hoppy session beer. The recipe is suprisingly complex with my version using five different grains.

Grain Bill

9.5 lbs - Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM)
3.75 lbs - Oats, Flaked (1.0 SRM)
2.75 lbs - Munich Malt - 10L (10.0 SRM)
2 lbs - Caramel/Crystal Malt - 10L (10.0 SRM)
8.0 oz - Cara-Pils/Dextrine (2.0 SRM)

Hop Schedule (44 IBU)

1.25 oz - Amarillo [9.20 %] - Mash 60.0 min 4.4 IBUs
1.25 oz - Simcoe [13.00 %] - First Wort 60.0 min 34.1 IBUs
1.25 oz - Simcoe [13.00 %] - Boil 5.0 min 6.2 IBUs
2.00 oz - Amarillo [9.20 %] - Steep/Whirlpool 0.0 IBUs

Yeast

White Labs California Ale Yeast (WLP001) or Safale US-56

Mash/Sparge/Boil

Mash at 151° to 153° for 60 min.
Sparge as usual
Boil for 60 minutes
Cool and ferment at 66° to 68°
